After himself, a precedent was set.
Augustus took the next month; but then why
Has no one thought to claim September yet?
It’s just as well they stopped it, all the same:
“Tibery” would have been an awful name.

I dunno… July, August, Tiberius sounds pretty good to me. (Ol’ Tibs struck me as the type that’d insist on his full name being used.)*
*Not that I knew him personally, but my understanding of history leads me to believe that he was a bit full of himself.
