Any relation of John Walker, well-known author of “To Ease My Aching Heart”, and “The Dog That Bit Me”?

Doesn’t top Charles Dickens’ chapter headings, not by a long shot.

Other readers have attempted to connect him with George Herbert Walker Bush, but with no success. For a “well-known author,” James Herbert Walker has left remarkably few traces of himself. In Google Books, the only book by a James Herbert Walker that could with even the remotest possibility be the same man is a manual of heating and ventilation published in 1920. We suppose, however, that Mr. Walker was well known to his mother, and that suffices for the epithet on the title page.
