A federal report released yesterday reveals that more babies were born in the United States in 2007 than any other year in the nation’s history, “even surpassing the number of deliveries during the height of the baby boom that followed World War II.”
After World War II, the average woman gave birth to three or four children. Now, the average woman has 2.1 children.
