I'm Dan Gordon and I wrote the play Irena's Vow. I also wrote the stage adaptation of Terms of Endearment among others, and one evening at a performance of Terms a woman to whom I was pointed out as the author came up to me and told me what a fan she was of my writing. I was certainly quite flattered. Perhaps she liked one of the movies I'd written. Perhaps Hurricane with Denzel Washington, or maybe she was a fan of Highway to Heaven or one of the other series I had done. " Oh" she said" I just loved that book of yours, Da Vinci Code." I smiled with apt humility and replied, " Well then your going to love this play too!" Somehow I don't think Mr. Brown is regaling anyone with the time he was mistaken for Dan Gordon.
