The Canadian novelist Randy Boyagoda recently published a fine and substantive discussion of the thought of Richard John Neuhaus in the July/August issue of THE WALRUS: “Spiritual Citizenship: The life and times of Richard John Neuhaus.” It’s available online and well worth reading.

Is it wrong for me to like the illustration?

The ‘Neuhausian cosmology’ cartoon is hilarious, except for the bizarre fact that it makes him out to be a George W. Bush enthusiast.

Thank you for the link to the article from Walrus on the late, great Richard John Neuhaus. I have never read an article by or about Father Neuhaus that failed to leave me better for the experience. As a recent subscriber to “First Things” from Canada, one of my delights is reading not only the daily blogs but also the Archive and all of Father Neuhaus’s insights from the past.I consider both he and “First Things” great blessings.
