Wait until you read what Obama’s new science czar, John Holdren, thinks about population control. The always wonderful Mollie at GetReligion notes:
See, there’s another controversial Obama administration pick. But you wouldn’t know it from reading the New York Times news pages. His name is John Holdren. He is President Obama’s science czar — director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, assistant to the president for Science and Technology, and co-chair of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. Here are some of the views he’s publicly espoused:
— Women could be forced to abort their pregnancies, whether they wanted to or not;
— The population at large could be sterilized by infertility drugs intentionally put into the nation’s drinking water or in food;
— Single mothers and teen mothers should have their babies seized from them against their will and given away to other couples to raise;
— People who “contribute to social deterioration” (i.e. undesirables) “can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility” — in other words, be compelled to have abortions or be sterilized.
— A transnational “Planetary Regime” should assume control of the global economy and also dictate the most intimate details of Americans’ lives — using an armed international police force.

“Marxism is materialism. As such it is relentlessly hostile to religion.” (Lenin) “We must not only admit workers who preserve their belief in God into the Social Democratic party but must deliberately set out to recruit them; we are opposed to giving the slightest offense to their religious convictions but we recruit them in order to educate them in the spirit of our programme and not in order to permit an active struggle against it….” (Lenin, “The Attitude of the Workers Party to Religion”, published 1909). Lenin’s philosophy is playing out right before our eyes in the administration of President Barack Obama. “The educators themselves must be educated.” (Karl Marx) This has already taken place in America.

How interesting that John Holdren figures prominently in a link provided by Stephen Barr on June 29th with respect to global warming hype. He was a supporter of Paul Ehrlich and has apparently never gotten over the desire for a man-made global catastrophe that he can solve.
