Not a good way to fight the “death panel” charge: A column in the Wall Street Journal discloses that the Obama Administration has quietly reinstated an end of life counseling pamphlet that the Bush Administration had stopped distributing. Apparently it pushes voluntary plug pulling.  More at Secondhand Smoke.

    Thank you First Things for bringing this to my attention. Certainly it is additional ammunition that one can to their arsenal for defeating Obamacare. Of course, from an economic perspective, just the mere fact of rationing itself, which is a definite inevitability, should be enough evidence to convince anyone of the government’s (i.e. the Obama administration) intentions. Nevertheless, I recommend everyone read the 3 part series the superb Economist Thomas Sowell has recently penned about the consequences of Obamacare, afterwhich one will superbly prepared for just about any argument on throws your way.

    It is disappointing that First Things is not the model that it once was in scrutinizing talking points of the Right as well as the Left.
