After Google lack of honoring those who died on 9/11, I have changed my homepage to Bing.

I also was looking at new phones and chose to go with one with Windows Mobile instead of the ones with the Google android on it.

Google is welcome to their ideas and opinions, but I will no longer be supporting their company because of them.

Excellent article! As a doodler myself, I've always been a little irked at what Google seems doodle-worthy. Thanks for also exposing the infuriating "cutseyness" of it all. Google, Kathleen Parker, and so on: folks seem to be more and more hiding their agenda behind a thin veil of cutesyness. It's a poor, but effective, defense -- at least until the novelty wears off.

I also find it bizarre that people were offended by the lack of recognition of U. S. military holidays. Given the national diversity among both Google's leadership and its clientele, it almost seems inappropriate for them to recognize such significant yet divisive occasions.

Let's not sweat the small stuff. In any event I for one don't want the crucifixion or the resurrection marked by a "doodle". It is hard enough to get people to take these events seriously without trivialising them. Unless, that is, we are happy with Christmas being marked by Santa and his reindeer.
