Is there no bottom to our moral decline?

A woman has written a memoir telling how she got pregnant on purpose fifteen times, and then aborted the babies. This isn’t a matter of law. It is an illustration of the hedonism of our times.  It is a matter of basic morality and the casting aside of willing self restraint, without which, society will eventually implode.

More details over at Secondhand Smoke.

I haven’t read the book either but fifteen abortions in sixteen years? Shouldn’t we be a bit skeptical, given the evidence that even one abortion decreases the likelihood of conception? It doesn’t help that she’s a “literary agent.”

Bill: I hope you are right. But if it is a hoax, it is a believable hoax because I think it reflects the zeitgeist of our times. Think Octomom.

    Society will “eventually” implode?

Wesley, alas, you are more of an optimist than I…
