IMHO two huge obstacles in the path toward more compelling and attractive conversation are the general cultural contempt for reason (leading to the notion that reason is nothing more than the rules of operation of the &#039;meat computer&#039;) and a coldness to the idea of the dignity of man.
As Lewis suggests, when we despise the truths we learned at our mother&#039;s knee, we end up putting all or moral and metaphysical eggs in one basket while we throw other baskets, just as important, away.]]></description>
