The Dutch have the most wild and open euthanasia license in the world. And yet, it is never enough.  Now, the lawyer responsible for obtaining a Dutch Supreme Court ruling okaying assisted suicide for the mentally ill, wants psychiatrists to have to justify not killing their suicidal patients who ask for euthanasia.  More details over at Secondhand Smoke.

The same agenda is beginning to percolate in the USA.  For more details, see my article on conscience clauses in the current First Things.

Where does this stop, it appears that the eugenic movement of the early 20th century is re-emerging, and that devil Hitler, who advocated such policies as this movement sanctioned, may become a “saint” instead of the devil that he appears to still personify?
