It's worthwhile to read the whole article--deeply disturbing, but worthwhile. I don't see how a pro-choice person who realizes the brutality of abortion can live with the cognitive dissonance. The author shows resentment of the pro-life community because pro-lifers can "own" the ugliness of abortion and "use" it to advance their cause. It doesn't seem to occur to her that we pro-lifers fight to advance our cause precisely because of the horrible nature of abortion. We would be happy to see the need for our fight end because people were no longer deliberately killing tiny babies! Maybe if the author admitted that pro-lifers might just take their position out of love for mothers and babies, she would have to see the hideous contradiction in her own position. This article makes me realize that we need to pray for all those involved in the abortion industry and all those who support abortion "rights."
