I guess, as a digital artist myself, I’m not seeing the big deal here. The web is often a great resource for photographic elements when stock photography fails. This is how digital art works, and I don’t think the artist failed in giving a good sense of how bin Laden might look aged and shaven. The bin Laden rendering doesn’t look at all like Mr. Llamazares, except for the hair. Cover up everything above the eyebrows, and the two images don’t have a thing in common.

At first glance, I mistook the aged Bin Laden (Llamazares) for Paul Krugman. Now that would explain a lot.
