Rich Ahlgrim are you kidding me. There are few things more political than religion. Seems like you want it both ways. You want to pass laws for every moral and ethical matter as long as it benefits your religious agenda (i.e. abortion and gay marriage) but with respect to social matters the government should mind there own business. You are a Hypocrite plain and simple! I just have to laugh at you people who claim to be religious and devout but can't find the compassion to help others in need unless it is on your own terms. Well let me ask you when was the last time you gave to someone in need of medical attention? How many of you ignoramuses still Tithe at church even though that practice was specific to providing for the Levites who cared for the Temple which no longer exists.

After reading "GeronimoRumplestiltskin" I did not need to read any further. Pro-life and Social Justice are at opposite ends.

Several parishes in my diocese have formed a "community organizing" group. I attended one of their meetings, where Ernesto Cortez was the featured speaker (google him for chilling information), and my Archbishop was there, as well as the bishop from the diocese north of us. Also in attendance were several priests and "nuns". The whole focus is on poverty and the means to overcome poverty is class warfare.

In my naivete, thinking that my Archbishop was not aware of the Alinskian principles on which community organizing is based, I sent him a packet of articles. One was prepared for the USCCB by the Wanderer Forum Foundation. Another was a commentary on the Industrial Areas Foundation that can be found on Catholic Culture
http://www.catholicculture.org/culture/library/view.cfm?id=2885
I also included lots of information on the corruption of CCHD. All the materials were given to the Archdiocesan Director of Public Policy and Concerns and CCHD. The letter I received from him was a 2-page defense of Mr. Cortez, community organizing and its coalition with faith based charity. I was also called in to the Chancery for further defense...

I saw some of Glenn Beck's show yesterday and he was exactly right about the leftist, progressive infiltration into churches under the guise of "social justice". He wasn't advocating leaving the Catholic Church -- he was advocating getting out of that parish. I think he is right. My former parish would not contribute $500 to sponsor a table for a Pregnancy Resource Center fundraiser but contributed $5000 to the local community organizing group. I switched to a parish that is very pro-life and in accordance with the teachings of the Church.

Glenn Beck may be theatrical but his information is factual. Our country is run by radicals who are taking our country down fast. Dividing the Catholic Church is one of their biggest goals. Watch this video for a clear picture:

What Glenn Beck was talking about was denominations that support abortion, homosexuality, euthanasia, racism, laws like healthcare that pay for abortions and sex change operations and other unAmerican values like redistribution of wealth. One example would be denominations like United Church of Christ that Obama belonged to: http://www.ucc.org/justice/issues.html
or pastors like Jeremiah Wright (he married the Obamas) at Obama's old church Trinity United Chrurch of Christ, the same UCC.org denomination above, who spew racism and curse America: http://www.trinitychicago.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=114
