Of interest to some of you: Biblical Exegesis as Mystical Experience in Judaism and Christianity, a conference being held at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh on April 22nd, as part of the theology department’s colloquium on the reception history of the Bible. I went to last year’s conference and much enjoyed it. The papers were all good and some were excellent, and not pitched too high for the amateur.

    I notice last year Alexander Golitzin of Marquette University participated. He and Andrei Orlov maintain a fascinating (and free) online resource, “Jewish Roots of Eastern Christian Mysticism” at this site:
