We might just radiate Christ!
Dear Jesus, help me to spread Thy fragrance everywhere I go. Flood my soul with Thy spirit and life. Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly that all my life may only be a radiance of Thine. Shine through me, and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel Thy presence in my soul. Let them look up and see no longer me but only Jesus! Stay with me, and then I shall begin to shine as Thou shinest, so to shine as to be a light to others; the light, O Jesus, will be all from Thee; none of it will be mine; it will be Thou shining on others through me. Let me thus praise Thee in the way Thou dost love best by shining on those around me. Let me preach Thee without preaching, not by words but by my example, by the catching force of the sympathetic influence of what I do, the evident fullness of the love my heart bears to Thee.
Amen.
Let it begin with me.

Hoping that in our efforts to let His light shine throgh us, we would not loose sight of the essential truth in Christianity – we are invited by a loving Father , to hand over our debts and darknesses and those of the other too , to The Light that alone can take it away , wash it away, in His Blood and mercy , that in families , that barbed word is not a source of alienation but chance to run to Him – ‘Lord , bring You this little bitterness or pride from so and so , as my own, to You ‘ and there in , the beam of unbroken relationship prevails again , to set hearts free from pain, broken relationships !
True, it takes effort , to develop that closeness and trust in Him ..and The Church tell us how and keeps us away from ways we can loose it !
Thank God that the mighty outpouring of The Spirit of unity has desceneded on the Papal paths , for just such purposes !

This is a beautiful prayer, but I get lost in all the Thou’s, Thee’s and Thine’s. People don’t talk like that anymore, why do we have to talk to God that way? I have to translate this into modern English to really hear the meaning.
