So the subscription request from Ms. Magazine reads: “Content and design that will not be uncompromised by the demands of advertising.”
A weak attempt at cutesy honesty, or just bad copyediting?
I don’t know how cutesy it is, but I bet it’s not unintentional.
I think it’s just thoughtless writing. I can’t imagine someone at Ms. Magazine writing or approving something humorous. But since I’ve never read it, maybe I’m wrong.
