Some gave in to more bizarre paranoid fantasies than others, like this particular piece.  But the infestation was widespread to a degree that will be hard to believe in coming years.  In fact it will be whitewashed away completely, so I think your quaint notion that &quot;permanent damage to the organization’s reputation&quot; is at stake is delusional.
