I happen to be presently reading D. G. Hart’s *From Billy Graham to Sarah Palin: Evangelicals and the Betrayal of American Conservatism.*

Moore’s comments, while partially confirming Hart’s analysis, also suggest that evangelicals (or at least leaders, like Moore) are even now learning from their past mistakes.
