If "better back then" is historically accurate, it's not not nostalgia. I find it hard to believe that all times in the past were truly inferior and somehow "worse" than today in a moral sense. I was born in the 1960's and I certainly have seen some changes in society... the legalization and social acceptance of abortion and divorce and homosexuality, for example. Sure, there was racism in the past, but what is a greater moral evil than abortion ? From what I can tell nothing but the Crucfixion and rejection of Christ. (P.S. are sacrileges, ex. profanation of the Eucharist considered greater evils than abortion ? I would assume they would be since they are an abuse of God but that is just a guess on my part.)
