David Nickol: certainly PP deserves credit for providing these much needed services. And if it did provide just these things, I can't imagine anyone would do anything except praise it profoundly. But it doesn't. It also provides abortions, which indisputably end human lives. I find it telling that Pres. Obama, (who I think is admirable in some ways) never mentioned the abortion function in the second debate. If this is such a popular "service'' for women, why not mention it, along with mamograms, etc.?

It is common knowledge among those who pay attention to the pro-life campaign against Planned Parenthood that it does Pap tests (which screen for cervical cancer) and clinical breast exams, but refers clients to other medical facilities for mammograms.
