while reading ms. connell’s sad piece, i found myself struggling not to feel a small measure of schadenfreude…. as in “you made your bed, now sleep in it. you’ve swallowed the lies, now it’s time to spit them up.”
she writes:
“we may be occupying homes that are too big for us, but at least we’re spending money and helping to keep the economy going — and putting enough in the pot to cover everyone else’s tax credits.”
is that the reason i (or single people?) should go shopping in milan? i never knew.
