As to the yurodivy (holy fools) of Russian Orthodoxy, although it is a common mistake to classify Dostoevsky’s Zosima as one, keep in mind that it is indeed a mistake. Zosima is a starets, not a holy fool. They are not one and the same thing.

Zizek’s sense of the concept is pretty awful in any event, since part of the whole point is that holy fools attract attention just by being themselves, not by ahh, publicity seeking (not that that would be relevant in Trump’s case…).
