Where do I sign?

Oh... it's based on something else, not the Vatican. Sorry.

Well, Ridley Scott made "The Kingdom of Heaven," which portrays medieval Christianity with every crudely negative and hostile cliche and caricature in the book (while at the same time, painting Islam in glowing, politically correct colors) - so I am not so hopeful as Patrick.

It certainly doesn't bode well, no, although at least there is a provision made for "mysteries and miracles." Before going into full outrage mode, I would be interested in actually watching an episode or two. Ridley Scott has made some good, thoughtful films, as has Paul Attanasio, and there is nothing in their work to date that marks them out as anti-Catholics. It's certainly not offensive that someone considers the Holy See important enough to dedicate a TV series to, and I'm willing to maintain a humble and playful attitude toward this sort of thing, as long as it is not objectively libelous. Perhaps it might even pique someone's curiosity, and lead them deeper into the Church herself?

A quickness to taking offense is itself a form of incivility.
