I was fortunate to have Fr. Lynn as an instructor for a couple of pre-theology classes at the Josephinum in Columbus OH. He was a great wealth of knowledge. I remember many tidbits, but one that comes to mind was when he shared that in the seminary, he and his fellow classmates used to try and stump each other on really tough questions when studying for exams. I guess they did this for fun?! Wow. He sure had a love for learning. He used to also jog around the Josephinum nightly while in his late 60s/early 70s? He made many laps. Many more than I would have; I was in my 20s.

Thanks for the notice of this. He was truly a lovely man. My wife and I will never forget the ending of our marriage prep session with him: a handful of cautionary tales about broken marriages, and a pitch for the religious life. He was always a delight.
