		<description><![CDATA[As regrettable and surprising as a papal resignation seems today, I do believe that this decision is of a piece with the whole papacy of Benedict XVI--prayerfully considered, thoroughly thought through, best for the Church and for the common good, principled, and guided by the Holy Spirit.  Given all the brilliant decisions, actions, and publications of this man, why would we think this one any different?]]></description>
