The odds of Richard Dawkins becoming the next pope, according to the Irish betting site Paddypower.com, is 666 to 1.
Last time I checked, Bono was a longer shot at 1000 to 1. The chance of either of them being selected is zero, with virtually cosmic certainty, but I would have thought Bono the better bet. If you are looking to take a flutter on a long shot!
Either all the conditions necessary to occur in order for Richard Dawkins to become Pope will occur, and Richard Dawkins will become Pope, or all the conditions necessary for Richard Dawkins to become Pope will not occur and he will not be Pope;)
Which reminds one of that old saw, “Is the Pope Catholic?”
666 to 1. That is hilarious!
