Should Republicans seek to pass a continuing resolution to defund Obamacare?

Senator Ted Cruz thinks so.

Punditor Charles Krauthammer thinks not.

Me, I really want to join Cruz’s call to battle, but I just don’t see how you ever get a veto-proof majority to do this, and in the midst of a shut-down showdown. Through citizens’ flooding the capitol with calls, emails, protests, and such, we’re going to get enough Dems to cry “Uncle!” on THIS? Krauthammer’s right that Obama has much to gain from such a drama, whereas it’s a hail-mary play for us. Moreover, Cruz’s supposedly killer argument, that once the subsidies begin in January the political possibility of repeal is likely lost, because you know, no entitlement has ever been taken-back, just seems extremely weak—it has a freshman-debate-practice aroma.

So, Head overrules Heart here.

But what say you? Is it my head that’s mixed-up?

Update: Link fixed on the Cruz remarks.
