I am eager to learn from any possible disagreement with Peter or our anonymous "reader." But I can't quite make out what the disagreement(s) is/are supposed to be. What puzzles is me is that I thought it was clear that I by no means accept the emancipation of "the philosopher" from the cave. There is no absolute inside/outside of the cave. And ordinary people "politicized?" Well, maybe, depending on what that means. If it means that every understanding of transcendence is partial and therefore partisan, and therefore generally (by default) colored by the practical finalities/necessities of a given cave -- yes, then "politicized."
