The title says it all, except that Ross will speak on his new book BAD RELIGION (and American politics etc.). Ross will also lead an informal seminar at 4 in the Science Auditorium. Please contact me–plawler@berry.edu.–for further information.

Ross, of course, is the youngest and most conservative columnist for THE NEW YORK TIMES.

A book named after the musically overrated but culturally prescient hardcore punk band?

    Interesting…

What I mean by the Bad Religion’s “cultural prescience” is that in the early 80s they felt that the heart of rock’s screaming leftism had to be a FRONTAL attack on Christianity, of the sort that became much more mainstream in the aughts. The band was known for its symbol, a slash-sign imposed over a cross.

Can’t wait for Ross’s new book. I suspect it will require Christians think otherwise in terms of what they say ought to be said in the public square. Ross is one of the best, and I hope to learn from him too, like anyone else.
