That will spill over some to the next day.

The theme will be POP CULTURE and REAL CULTURE, with the emphasis on the former.

Some featured speakers will include BILL MCCLAY, CARL SCOTT, and MICAH WATSON.

You are welcome to come. Students are especially welcome, as are faculty with students.

If you have a POP CULTURAL idea, please pitch it for presentation.

While I have you attention, don’t you agree that Pete has the makings of a great book that would combine his thesis and his consistently original and astute observations on the developing tragedy that is the 2012 campaign? Let me add that it would be an even bigger seller is Romney somehow pulls it out.

Actually I have wondering if somneone might be interested in my thesis (conservative intellectuals and welfare reform 1965-1996) might be publishable in itself. It has a lot about coalition formation, how intellectuals change their minds, the role of prudence, the inevitable disappointments of politics… It might be short for a book-type book (maybe 130 pages? I’m away from home and can’t remember the page count.) A book on the campaign would be an interesting idea (though I would have to figure how to write a book.) And that was a very kind thing to write. Thank you.
