A tasty confection of insights about the Constitution and the present state of the race–and the unexpected attack on the 22nd amendment is the cherry on top.

Of course, I’m hoping and praying that Peter’s judgment of the state of the race is wrong. I hope it’s not a mad fantasy to expect Obama-harming decreased turnout, alone-in-the-booth turnarounds, and other factors that mean the present polling methods turn out to be wrong. My gut still says Romney, and I will be sincerely outraged at my fellow citizens if my gut is proven wrong.
