I was a bit turned off by the title at first (not a fan of any of these shows, probably wouldn’t watch two of them even if I had HBO), but dead-on accurate and insightful commentary. I’m curious, though, if your take on “Girls” (for sure) and “Big Love” (wasn’t clear to me) is that these shows demonstrate the problem with liberalism reduced to absurdity, do you think anybody who hasn’t read deToqueville gets it? In other words, do these shows just model even more inappropriate behavior, or do they show to a significant portion of the audience the emptiness of these lifestyle choices?

Also, your conclusion about a viable conservativism in the future was spot-on. It has to do with responsibility. And the rich have no monopoly on responsibility. Nor do the poor simply lack responsibility.
