There seems to be a lack of understanding on the site, that Percy isn’t just speaking of scientists because he doesn’t like them, but in fact because they come the closest to being able to transcend their limits, which is why the coming down is so hard. Sagan’s transformation to finally adding a god to his cosmos would indicate that Percy was correct about Sagan at least. Good series of blogs.
