In my opinion, healthcare is the way that we have to follow, if you want to live longer. In my country, people spend a lot of money in healthcare because it’s too expensive to buy it, also you can’t find the medicine that you need. At the hospital you cannot a good service. Kate, he wants a system of forced savings that with be used to finance a combination of health savings accounts and catastrophic health insurance along with pricing and transparency reforms related to health care providers. I suggested it because I think you would be interested in how he describes the problems of medical pricing when insurance is used for routine care – and especially the perverse incentives for overtreatment.

Pete, everyone wants (from the review of that book) ” where the customer (the patient) is first—a system focused on health and maintaining it, a system strong and vibrant enough for our future.” Everyone wants that, liberal or conservative. The question is how to get it.

My great grandmother lived to be 106, without the dubious benefits of modern geriatric medicine. It was all in her genes. When I was a child my brothers and sisters and cousins and I would tell her we wanted to live to be as old as her. She always replied that no, we didn’t. We thought it was a joke, but as I got older I saw it was no joke, even though she said it with a smile.
