Oh no! It looks as if the coming Copenhagen climate change, prosperity murdering summit will not produce an enforceable treaty to raise taxes, stifle employment, and kill energy production. From the story:
A global treaty to fight climate change will be postponed by at least six months and possibly a year or more, senior negotiators and politicians conceded today. In a day of gloomy statements, the world’s key industrialised nations said they had abandoned hope of a legally binding treaty at the Copenhagen summit next month and had begun to plan only for a meeting of world leaders. The stark statements follow weeks of pessimism and represent a significant downgrading of the summit’s goal. In London, Ed Miliband, the UK climate change secretary, became the first British politician to acknowledge publicly that Copenhagen would produce no legal climate change treaty.
We’re all doomed! At least that’s what UN head hysteric, Ban Ki-moon said a few months ago.

A dear friend, a great lady, who unfortunately was what she called “a far left liberal” died not too long ago, with the attitude toward her own death that, being in her 90s, she “should” die, an idea she seemed to project on others of similar age. As a young woman she’d m et and admired Eleanor Roosevelt, whose role in the creation of the U.N. needs no mention. She was the daughter of a doctor who, she said, felt very strongly that no child that was unwanted “should have to be born,” and who helped to found Planned Parenthood. She was an anti-pesticide activist (on that, she was right), and probably was concerned about global warming… I do see your point, SHS, about the environmentalists and the death culture. The environmentalists are right about a lot of things, though. But this global warming fetish has just got to stop.

p.s. Head hysteric — that’s really funny, a good phrase.

“postponed by at least six months and possibly a year or more”
LoL. They keep telling us we have “less than a year” to make meaningful change.
Then they keep pushing off the meaningful change until the other guy will do it.
If they’re so be believed, our year is way up.
