The newest edition of my podcast What It Means to be Human concerns the need to legally protect the consciences of Hippocratic physicians and other health care professionals.  As I have stated repeatedly, this is going to be one of the biggest bioethical issues in the coming decade.  Here is the link.

    You didn’t mention pharmacists being compelled to dispense drugs that kill embryos.

    Seann: That was the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals decision I referenced about assisted suicide, although there is apparently some question whether the morning after pill is an abortifacient.

    Let them protect their own consciences. We don’t need laws to institutionalize sectarian religious values.
