What about Lebanon and Turkey? Game over, you lose.

The answer is you get nothing. It's just that the aformentioned countries convinced somebody who truly wanted to believe that women technically can go to the polling booth, when the practical matter due to political interference and outright official discouragement, is that they are better off staying at home. Lebanon is forcefully occupied by Syria, so it highly doubtful that anybody can vote their conscience, and once Turkey becomes an Islamic Republic, it will have the same 'polity score' as Yemen......

This calls to mind a remark of Hegel’s that it is impossible to grant political freedom to people whose consciences are enslaved. "Napoleon could no more coerce the Spanish into freedom, than Philip II could force the Dutch into slavery."

WOW!!! If that does not sum up a ton of what is wrong in the US (& Europe?), what does?

Similar to giving matches to children, it can be done, but what will they do with the newly gained power?

Thanks, Michael. You are rapidily becoming one of my hearoes (Fraudian typo!). Hopefully the worship of the simple minded will not diminish your self-esteem!

Frodo:

You are as clueless as the neocons. Voting per se means jack didly -- what counts is values. My fifth grade teacher told me that the constitution of the USSR was more progressive on human rights and liberties than the US constitution (something I've since confirmed with a Russian emigre friend), but it is the values that people (elites and hoi polloi alike) hold dear that count, not words on a piece of paper. The Muslim Brotherhood could win a "fair" election in Egypt — Islamists' view of democracy in a nutshell: "one vote, one time" — and "legally" wipe out most of the liberal-democratic-humanistic attributes of a Western-style democracy (remember that the Nazis came to power via democratic elections) overnight.

Hey! We're in luck sinner vic, I see that Frodo is here and the cleaning lady is nowhere to be seen but that doesn't mean that Frodo won't call her again to put UP those do not disturb signs, so hurry UP and say what you told me cause "IT" makes sense. Go ahead sinner vic!

Nah, nah, nah, nah, hey, hey, goodbye! :!:

What do you mean by that sinner vic? Are you angry at me again cause I didn't let you finish your "Perspective" comment because "IT" was a little too crystalized in another blog if you know what I mean? :?

Come on sinner vic, help me out here cause you know I can't say what you told me by myself without choking on "IT" so let's be fair. How do you expect a guy with a two year occupation school course to compete with these brains cells and I want to remind you that I had to repeat the first year and didn't finish the second so please help me out here.

Nah, nah, nah, nah, hey, hey, goodbye!

I'll have you know that this is no hockey game sinner vic and if "IT" was, our team would be at the loozing end and that would be crazy, wouldn't "IT" be?

Alright sinner vic! If "IT" will help, I'll agree with you that ever since Jesus was born, spiritually speaking that is, that "IT" has been, Mother, Father, Son and Holy Spirit for the sign of 'The Cross' so will you help me out NOW? :?

sinner vic, I'm not asking you to bastardize anything, I just want you to explain what we talked about so please don't embearass me any longer cause the last time that happened was in the early seventies when I was working at an hotel on a Saturday Night and our in-laws were sitting in my section and a pimp was about to beat UP one of his girls cause she was holding out on her. Come on sinner, Mr Goldman is not Wesley and besides, he's been pretty fair so come on help me out just a little, please, pretty please cause you know that I'm green without you when "IT" comes to deep stuff like this.

Alright folks, he won't help me so I'll try to paraphrase what he told me which goes something like this. The problem with humanity is very complicated but at the same time, "IT" is very, very simple. "IT" all started with Adam and Eve and their conscience who chose to follow, let's say, "Where apathy is the master, all men are slaves!" their sins and to make a long story short, Master baters sinners have lead God's Cells through two world wars and forgive them cause like Jesus might have thought, they don't know what is UP or down but master's mean well. Believe "IT" or not but sinner vic also said in deep thoughts that these master thought they were really "IT" and had the Gall to offer Our Heavenly Father "ONE JEW life" for every Narrow Gate Godly Years that they owed HIM which sinner vic says is about 6000 human burnt sacrifices if He would let their people go. sinner vic goes on to say that they never own anything in the first place so what's the point? :?

I'm sorry folks but I must stop now cause this is too much for me and be careful cause from what his thinking, sinner vic could even be the anti-christ.

Ok Anti-UP NOW cause I'm back Victor. :P]

Sorry sinner vic, you're too late cause I just saw the sign and I must go to another table where the anti is not too big and beside here comes the cleaning lady with Brodo holding her by the arms and I can see those do not disturb signs.

Sorry Folks, :(

God Bless Peace

sinner vic says that "IT" is love at first site but I tell him that Love is not all "IT" is set out to be but still he keeps telling me that he wants to spend 100 years with your spirit when I die lzzrdgrrl cause you know so much about hockey, I guess. Go Figure!

I hear ya! Then you're saying that there really is no truth to the rumor which is circulating around that you've been dead for a long time now Victor but no body cells have had the heart cells to tell you so?

Careful what you think cause the last thing we want to do is put thoughts cells like that in any body's spiritual brain cells who are supose to be still living and beside let's not rush "IT" for Christ sake cause we still have an eternity to worry about! I think? :o

Hey how about those "HABS" ?

I think the cleaning lady that you're thinking about Marcus spends most of her time at "Slacktivist" and I'm kind of surprised that any of them might be following me around. :?

NOW! Maybe that's why sinner vic wants to start his own blog so he can spend most of his time there also but not while I'm still incharge! :)

Really? You're the expert.

Lebanon is forcefully occupied by Syria,

Not since 2005.

so it highly doubtful that anybody can vote their conscience, and once Turkey becomes an Islamic Republic, it will have the same 'polity score' as Yemen......

So you have a time machine? You know the future? I bet you've made a killing on the stock market and the lottery.

Turkey and Lebanon are democracies. Spengler is wrong. And you're just plain ignorant.
