Why I Am Catholic

I am not one who is comfortable rattling a tin cup to keep the site supported, but reader Donna wrote asking how she could make a donation to the site now that the Amazon Honor System is gone.

Thankfully there is always PayPal – the donation button is near the top of the right-hand sidebar, just above the Amazon search box.

I am always surprised, grateful and very humbled whenever I receive a donation, and yes, I do pay for my bandwidth, photohosting, podcast hosting, shoddy computer repair and all other site costs purely by donation, so when I tell folks that they help keep the site running, that’s totally true.

Anyhow – I’m uncomfortable writing about this, and hope it is not construed as a cup-rattle but simply a point-of-information inspired by an email. I know many people preferred using the Amazon method, and so if you are someone who would “like” to donate, but prefer not to use Paypal, then prayers for my family are always gratefully appreciated and a true gift. Thanks.

I am disappointed to hear this. :-( Did Amazon not work out for you?

I just saw where I’ve read this before and just forgot. Anyway, it really is disappointing though.

    I trust you’ll accept both? :)

I realize I haven’t commented her for some time. This morning I found a repost at Doc Bob’s blog (from a link at Gina Cobb) which referred to one of your posts that I had missed – back in 2005! – and I had to come read the whole thing.

And then onto your home page where I read the top post. I don’t donate to many blogs, but I was ‘moved’ to do my teensy part. So I have.

I’m sure the prayer will be far more useful to you.

    ;)

    *Hugs!*
