I didn’t realize it until I read it at McNamara’s Blog, but today marks the passing of our revered friend and prayer-buddy, Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, who was a great Third Order Dominican, and whose mountain-climbing, pipe-smoking picture and story resides in my right-sidebar.
A New York Frassati Fellowship has more.
Slightly O/T, but you’ll like: Deacon Greg’s Homily, which has nothing to do with Pier Giorgio, except that both are faithful men and friends of mine!

Yes, we are happy we can celebrate his Office on this day! It is a very special feast for us; a double whammy with Independence Day!
