Abba Lot visited Abba Joseph and summarized his religious life this way:

“Abba, I recite the liturgy the best I can, sometimes I fast, I pray and meditate, I try to live peacefully with others, and I attempt to cleanse my thoughts. What more can I do?”

The old man Joseph stood up, stretching his hands toward heaven. His fingers seemed to be ten lamps of fire. He said to Lot, “If you will, you can become all flame.”

Divided tongues of fire appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them when the Holy Spirit arrived at Pentacost.

Acts 2:3

The words, “I am still learning” mean a LOT to me. I hope and I know that they will always be among some of my most valuable quiet sayings while slowly searching to be perfect like my Heavenly Father is perfect.

I don’t think that they will ever surpass the words that Jesus said in so many words while dying on His Cross. “Forgive them Father for they know not what they do!” cause between you and me, and no matter what my achievements are, I’ll never know what I’m truly doing when “IT” comes to knowing God and I only say this because of some of my growing experiences in my so called spiritual dry dessert or should I say desert?:)

I could go on and on and some can think me and/or call me crazy if “IT” makes them feel better but I’ll simply close by saying that I honestly now believe that “Our Heavenly Father” can take but “ONE” of any of our good cells and place the entire universe in “IT” and still be considered “Chicken Feed” for “HIM”. Go Figure!

    God Bless,

    Peace

Was there something wrong with my last comment? Well here “IT” is again just incase “IT” was just a technical problem. :)

The Anchoress has been nominated for Best Religious Blog.

    Go forth and vote!

[Thanks, I hadn't realized. Oh, boy...I have no chance of winning that. Ah, well...don't take this stuff too seriously. -admin]

    Hey folks!
I had a dream last night and I thought that The Anchoress might know what “IT” could mean.

To make a long story short, I was in some kind of a club and given a project to work on with someone else and I was happy. To make another long story short this person would not co-operate with me at all and eventually we agreed to try “IT” again next year because let’s just say that “Bipolar” was not far off.

Anyway, I asked the bartenders where the washroom was and one of them waved a key at me and another bartender without saying a word waved his head with authority toward the side with no door and so I walked right into “IT”.

Let’s just say that “IT” did not take me too long to walk back out of “IT” because, to name a few things, the walls were full of holes and the toilet had half a seat on “IT” and brown water was floating at the top.

Without saying a word I walked around this large room and with a little empathy for the people that I saw, I knew that I better just keep my mouth shut and then I woke UP.

I’ll close by saying that I’ll take a look at the nomination site and I’ll be sure to place a vote for you when I do.

    God Bless,

    Peace

    Dear Anchoress,

I did visit the nomination site and left a message there which will take at least a day I hear before any one sees “IT”

I then checked to see where I could vote for you under “The Best Religious Blog” but I could not see your site and forgive me for not having nominated you. :(

After the dream I had last night, I think that I will just leave “IT” at that and simply keep my mouth shut as to what I’m really thinking about “IT” :)

    Peace

re. Coveted Bloggy Thingie: Now, it’s very simple; just click on the link I posted @10:23PM, find “Best Religious Blog” (#24 down), click it, then scroll down (towards the bottom) to where The Anchoress is nominated (twice: #s 15 and 18 down), and click on the + sign next to those posts.

If she were less modest, she’d post about it, the way all the other nominated bloggers are doing. And she has every chance of winning. Go team!
