The conclusion? After all the drug laws and business laws and wildlife laws and disposal-of-substances laws, one would be hard-pressed not to have violated a federal law.

As Ilya Somin notes , “The vast scope of federal criminal law is a very serious problem. Because of it, most Americans are effectively at the mercy of federal officials whenever they might choose to come after us.”
