From the invaluable Mirror of Justice blog, we learn that Apple seems to have caved in to pressure and will no longer offer the Manhattan Declaration app in its App Store.
Now, no one is calling the App Store a public forum, and Apple is entitled to make this sort of business decision.
But the trajectory here is not encouraging for those who support the traditional understanding of marriage. As MoJ blogger Rob Vischer observes, “I fear that we’re approaching the point where opposition to SSM itself is considered hate speech, regardless of the rhetoric employed.”
Does anyone doubt the willingness of many advocates of equality to sacrifice religious liberty?
