“Find the good and praise it,” was the motto of novelist Alex Haley—and advice that I wish I would follow. Instead, I have tendency—like most pundits—of finding the bad and lamenting it. That is especially true when it comes to pop culture. The opportunities for finding works that are worthy of notice and praise are all too infrequent.

But they are occasionally found. Last month I wrote about finding references to faith and family in country music . Recently, I stumbled upon four more examples that deserve to be recognized and appreciated:

Craig Campbell - “Family Man”

Chris Young - “Voices”

(See also: Young’s ” The Man I Want to Be ,” a song I mentioned in my previous OTS article.)

James Wesley - “Real”

Brett Eldredge - “Raymond”
