Hannon—now Frater Urban Hannon of the Norbertine Fathers of St. Michael’s Abbey in California. Hannon sits down with literary editor Matthew Schmitz and associate editor Julia Yost to recall his bombshell and reflect on its consistency with his present life of monastic serenity. (Just don’t call him a “monk”!) On sexuality and gender, he has opinions to spare. Facebook’s seventy-one gender options: Too much? Or not enough?

Then editor Rusty Reno joins, fresh off his victory (or was it?) in debate against his old grad-school roommate, Peter Casarella of Notre Dame. Reno vs. Casarella focused on Catholic perspectives on immigration. Should our preferential option be for immigrants, or for those who are already our neighbors? As a bonus, Rusty has an idea for replicating the Left’s transgender bathroom success with our own, solidarity-centered defunding gambit.
