“Follow the Islamic way to save the world,” Prince Charles urges environmentalists.

To which Mark Steyn replies, “The Prince of Wales brings together the two great religions of our age.”

A little over the top, but it does remind one of the extent to which feminism has faded from the great list of causes.

In other news, an Egyptian lawyer on Saudi Television urges Arab men to rape Jewish women.

Ok…I just wrote a long response and the page expired and lost it all. So, here is another version of what I wrote:

First of all, I was not aware that we, finite creatures, have the ability to save the world. This is news to me.

On a less sarcastic note, I wonder what causes all this behavior: self-loathing? fear? But all this manifestation of self-love brings to mind a phrase that Rahner wrote: capax finitum infiniti (I think I got the Latin correct…sorry, if I didn’t): we, as human beings, have a finite capacity for the Infinite. How perfectly beautiful!

    Per:

    “Low-Impact Religion”

    &

“Follow the Islamic way to save the world,” Prince Charles urges”

Isn’t that exactly what his late ex-wife was up to only to discover it wasn’t low-impact but high impact?

    (Couldn’t resist)

    Mrs. Jackson:

I am not sure that Diana had that on her mind. I think that would an awful lot of speculation done on our part.

I’m not a fan of Prince Charles or the degree of his emphasis on environmentalism. However, he was speaking at an Islamic Center (unless I’m misreading the link in this post) and so, given his concerns about the environment and the context, his comments seem apropos.

it’s a good thing that this idiot is only a figurehead, if he could actually rule he would assume the living quarters in the Tower of London very soon after his coronation!
