The New York Times just announced this “breaking news alert”:

In an upset, New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan elected president Tuesday of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, defeating a vice president who had been widely expected to win the job.

    Laus Deo. If both conservatives and SNAP are opposed to someone — as they were to Kicanas — that should say something. Hopefully this will mark the tipping point towards the end of Bernardin-style Catholicism in this country.
