    Concerning Aquinas and emotions: some people may, rather understandably, consider Aquinas to be a hyper-rationalist type, who had little insight to provide the rest of us poor chaps about anger, saddness, joy, and the rest of those unphilosophical aspects of the human condition. actually, however, Aquinas had many perceptive, and indeed brilliant deductions concerning emotions, in his SUMMA THEOLOGIAE, for example.
