The 2024 First Things Lecture in Washington, D.C. will be given at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 4 by Oren Cass in the Heritage Foundation's Allison Auditorium (214 Massachusetts Ave NE).

Tickets are $10 for First Things subscribers and $20 for non-subscribers. We also offer a $50 lecture ticket that includes a one-year subscription to First Things.

Oren Cass is the executive director of American Compass and author of The Once and Future Worker: A Vision for the Renewal of Work in America (2018). He is a contributing opinion writer for the Financial Times and writes regularly for the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.

From 2005 to 2015, Oren worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company. During this period, he also earned his JD magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he was elected vice president and treasurer of the Harvard Law Review. While still in law school, Oren also became Domestic Policy Director for Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign. He founded American Compass in 2020.
